Power Design Services (PDS) does not outsource anything overseas nor do we have an alliance with any production manufacturing overseas. PDS recognizes the importance of oversea manufacturing for mass production volume. However, our core strength is quick turn, prototypes. With any prototype, the product is still in the early designing stage so it is very important to have real time interaction. PDS engineering can offer support on DRC and DFM to make the product more robust. It is important to give feedback to the engineers in real time so he/she can update the design.
PDS recognizes that customer service, feedback, and quick turnarounds are more important than saving money at this stage of the design. So PDS will continue to offer these services to our customers and stay away from oversea manufacturing. Let’s focus on what PDS does best and not try and make money at something that PDS does not have control over.
